Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival

EVERY LABOR DAY WEEKEND
We honor the two industries that built our community during a five-day celebration! Our 87th Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival will take place Thursday, September 1st through Monday, September 5th. Our festival is a FREE five-day event with music, food, carnival, arts and crafts and MUCH more. All are welcome!
ARTS & CRAFTS
Under the elevated Hwy. 90 bridge, you can find more than 100 vendors offering unique items (i.e., handcrafted jewelry, woodworks, etc.). You can find more information here.
CHILDREN’S VILLAGE
Children’s area open on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00-5:00pm offering bounce houses, face painting, and games FREE of charge.
BLESSING OF THE FLEET
Be a part of the time honored tradition by registering with the festival office! Blessing of the Fleet is Sunday from 10:00am until noon on Berwick Bay. Join us on the Berwick docks to toast the King and Queen. All boats must be registered with the Festival Office.
STREET PARADE
Sunday at 3:00pm, our royalty parades the streets. If you’d like to participate, contact the festival office to register.
ARTIST GUILD ART SHOW
Located on the corner of Everett and First Streets, you can browse and purchase art submissions. Visit Artists Guild Unlimited Everett Street Gallery website for more information.
100 BLACK MEN 5K RUN/WALK
Saturday morning participate in 5K Run/Walk benefiting 100 Black Men of St. Mary Parish. Contact KBZE to register.
MASS IN THE PARK
Sunday at 8:30am attend a unique mass in Lawrence Park honoring the shrimping and petroleum industries.
FIREWORKS ON THE RIVER
Sunday night at 9:00pm, Fireworks will blast into the sky over the Berwick Bay. Tune into KQKI 95.3FM for synchronized music.
CARNIVAL
Open Thursday through Monday, you can find an assortment of Mitchell Brothers Amusement Carnival rides for all ages.
CHILDREN’S PARADE
Saturday morning at 11:00am, children will parade around Lawrence Park on decorated scooters, bikes and wagons.
CORONATION AND BALL
Join us as we crown and celebrate our new royalty the weekend prior to the festival!
CAR SHOW
Saturday morning on the corner of Federal Avenue and Greenwood under the bridge the Cypress Car Club will host their Car Show.
MUSIC IN THE PARK
Beginning Friday night through Monday night, we have lots of music (from Country to Cajun to Cover bands) in Lawrence Park for you to enjoy.
DIVING & ROV HISTORICAL PRESERVATION MUSEUM
Enjoy scenes and memorabilia from diving history with Bryce Merril.
