May 28, 2021 - May 30, 2021
Outdoor food and fun await – and long overdue! Come join us May 28-30, 2021 at City Marketplace for the Punta Gorda Seafood & Music Festival. The event is produced by Paragon Festivals and hosted by Theatre Odyssey. General admission is FREE!!!
This seafood and music festival is created like an outstanding meal that incorporates and blends the finest ingredients. Choose entrees (seafood, meat and vegetarian) cooked fresh onsite. Add on with a diversity of side dishes and of course – scrumptious desserts! Select from both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Then sit back and be caressed by the captivating sounds of live musical performances on stage by some of Florida’s and the region’s top musical talents. Performers on Friday evening include: Sarasota Steel Pan Band (jazz, Caribbean), China Grove (Doobie Brothers Tribute Band) and Trezz Hombres (ZZ Top Tribute Band). For your enjoyment on Saturday will be performances by: The Whole Band featuring Callie Chappell (Americana, rock, variety), Kettle of Fish (rock, blues, reggae), Brenda Watty & Her Peeps (jazz, R&B, Motown), Fleetwood Max (Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band) and the Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band (country blues). The weekend closes Sunday with live performances by: North Jetty Allstars (classic rock, Yacht rock, blues), Double Your Trouble (Stevie Ray Vaughn Tribute Band) and Dr. Dave Band (country rock, bluegrass). Check back as the event approaches for the current and updated Performance Schedule.
The final ‘seasoning’ is shopping a marketplace of arts and crafts (e.g., painting, mixed-media, glass), gourmet food items and specialty products. Enjoy during the breaks between band performances!
Life back to normal? Maybe not quite there fully yet …. but working that direction! Until then, do come enjoy and treat yourself over this weekend to important endpoints like fun and relaxation. You work hard, time ‘off’ is valuable to us all. So we will lay the palette for that relaxation – do come enjoy!
